Advantech has launched two new industrial sensing and LoRaWAN I/O solutions, increasing its LoRaWAN capabilities. Its LoRaWAN products offer a device-to-cloud solution by simply sending collected data through the LoRa gateway to the cloud. LoRaWAN provides industrial users with low cost, long distance, low power and high security connectivity.

With Advantech Edgelink IoT gateway software, more than 200 edge devices can connect the south interface to different platforms through the north interface inside the gateway. This allows users to plug and play without worrying about data analysis processes.

The WISE-2200-M is a LoRaWAN Modbus read/write communication device. WISE-2200-M supports a maximum of 128 addresses and 30 rule parameters and can easily connect to Modbus sensors and meters for multiple applications. It offers a better connection compared to conventional wireless technology.

The WISE-4610 advanced industrial LoRa/LoRaWAN wireless I/O module offers selectable private LoRa and LoRaWAN options. It offers longer communication range, better penetration through concrete and steel, and less interference than 2.4 GHz spectrum. The plug-and-play I/O module can be fitted with an IP65 enclosure and powered by a rechargeable solar battery or 10~50VDC input. It also supports GPS, Galileo, BeiDou and GLONASS systems.

Low Interference with High Penetration LoRaWAN, created for M2M and IoT networks, is not a single technology but a variety of low power WAN technologies. Compared to traditional mobile networks, LoRaWAN is accepted as having lower cost with higher energy efficiency.
