What’s inside the box?
Bioheart comes in a sturdy carrying case with all the accessories you need to use it. Inside the box you will find the Bioheart device, a mountable strap and a charger. The device itself is quite small and light. It measures approximately 2.5 inches in diameter and can fit in the palm of your hand.
It has a large round LED notification on top to communicate status. Unfortunately, Bioheart does not have Type-C charging and requires a micro USB cable. The battery, on the other hand, lasts a long time. You can use the device continuously for just under 48 hours. However, 10 to 12 hours of use per day can provide about three days of battery life.
The fabric strap, on which Bioheart mounts, can be washed and is quite breathable. You can adjust the strap for the perfect fit and wear it comfortably for hours. Bioheart locks firmly in place via four pins. If you follow the steps mentioned in the instruction manual, you can set up the device in minutes and start using it.
The first step is to download the Bioheart app from Play Store or App Store. Start by creating your account and filling out the necessary profile information. Then you need to pair it with the device. Make sure it’s mounted on the strap and Bluetooth is on. Your Bioheart model will appear on the app. Once paired, the notification LED will change to a blue color.

Before you start using it, there are a few things to keep in mind. Under the Device in the app, check for the latest firmware update. If there is, let it download and install. Next, check the current battery level in the same tab. If necessary, charge it before first use.
The Bioheart app is where all data measured by the device is stored. In the Summary tab, you can find detailed heart health stats here. You can view the real-time electrocardiogram (ECG) in Heartbeat tongue. You can also take a “snapshot” of this ECG data and export it as a PDF or image.
How to do an ECG with Bioheart
While Bioheart can measure electrical activity 24/7, you can only create up to five minute “snapshots” of your ECG. First, make sure you have properly mounted the device on the strap. Align the pins on the device with those on the strap for a secure fit. The next most important step is to have good body contact.
The strap is worn in the center of the chest, just below the sternum. And it must have skin contact. In the Device , you can see an indicator that tells you if the device is in optimal contact with your body. In addition, you can also observe the LED light. The flashing blue light should change to solid green upon good skin contact. Therefore, try to adjust the strap for a snug fit.
Click on “Show heart rate” in the Device tab for the real-time ECG of your heart. To create a snapshot, click “Start Recording” and select the duration. You can select a duration of up to five minutes. Fill in the snapshot notes beforehand. This includes information such as symptoms, data time, title, etc.
Remain still during ECG recording. When done, you can view the saved ECG as Heartbeat. Now you can export this snapshot as a PDF or long image directly to your doctor.
Bioheart tracks your heart health while you wear it
Bioheart houses medical-grade sensors that produce three true views from the heart. To put it into perspective, the Apple Watch can only produce a singular view of the heart. By having multiple views of the heart, doctors can accurately detect any abnormal heart rhythms.

For example, when you perform an ECG on the Apple Watch, it tells you whether your heartbeat is normal or not. A basic heart rate classification in the app can help you understand the meaning of the data. In addition, it lacks an alert system if the heart rate crosses an abnormal threshold.
The Bioheart ecosystem could also benefit from an automated doctor-patient loop.
Currently, you have to manually send health data and reports to your doctor. Automated report sharing could eliminate this step and sync your data with your doctor. Thus, further reducing the time needed for diagnosis.
